John specializes in collaborative initiatives between hourly and salary employees where work redesign, union / management partnerships and employee involvement strategies are essential to business performance and results. In addition, John has first-hand experience and knowledge of performance-based incentive systems that work.
Business Experience
John has 20 years of experience participating and consulting in business transformation. John has worked with clients in such industries as mining, forestry, energy and manufacturing within the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Prior to joining KCB, John worked with Magma Copper (BHP). During his tenure, John was a furnace operator, held a United Steelworkers (USW) Local 937 Executive Board position and participated on many union / management project teams. In 1990, John was appointed by Magma and the USW as an internal consultant where he designed and managed joint union / management initiatives, performance-based leadership development, whole system redesigns and transformational consulting.
